Smart tracking of animal behavior
The Smart System, a video tracking system by Harvard Apparatus, Holliston, MA, evaluates behavior in experimental animals. The system acquires animal activity, trajectories, events, and social behavior in real-time images or videotaped records. Smart Video can calculate a wide range of analysis parameters for up to 16 animals simultaneously. The system can be used for a wide variety of behavioral tests including, water maze, open field, radial arm mazes, and place preference.
