Parkinson’s research results in new treatments
Many people think of Parkinson’s disease (PD) merely as uncontrolled shaking or tremors. Yet, virtually all people with PD’s suffer from a wide variety of afflictions and symptoms, including bradykinesia (slow body movements), dyskinesia (uncontrolled body movements, e.g. flailing), impaired speech, dizziness, loss of the sense of smell, urinary incontinence, constipation, and muscle stiffness.
